About FMGC
FMGC, the casting subsidiary of the Farinia Group, has built its reputation on nearly a century of industrial expertise. Founded in 1929, FMGC has grown to become one of the world leaders in cast counterweight manufacturing, and serving in various sectors such construction, material handling, agricultural, and oil & gas industries.
Since 2015, FMGC has also expanded into the offshore renewable energy sector, further strengthening its position in emerging and sustainable markets.
Among FMGC's broad portfolio of products, Harada will place particular emphasis on promoting clump weights used in mooring systems for floating offshore wind turbines.
The clump-on design enables easy installation onto mooring chains and contributes not only to ensure restoring forces but also serve to shorten the mooring lines, thereby reducing the global footprint on the seabed as well as the capital expenditures.
Through this partnership, Harada and FMGC aim to support the continued growth of Japan's floating offshore wind industry and contribute to the advancement of a sustainable energy future.
